Two brothers determined from Schiedam start shortly after the Second World War, a furniture factory. Inspired by numerous designers from the Bauhaus school, they designed and made their own furniture for offices and homes. They didn’t want to work with unnecessary design accents and concentrated mainly on the comfort and technical perfection. The Gebroeders De Wit dit not want to do any concessions to comfort. They created a willful and timeless design. Sustainability was paramount. Not only for the steel frames, but also for fabrics and other materials they chose. They wanted to make the best seats and they did. . |
